TOURISM LOGO
OVERVIEW
We were instructed to design a tourism logo on a city of our choosing. I’ve selected Doha, a city located in Qatar. They’re known for their arabian coffee, tourist attractions and modern architecture. This project does not affiliate with the issue of harassment towards female migrant workers in Qatar's world cup hotels in 2022.
THE SKETCHING PROCESS
After extensive research on Doha, I was able to form a few ideas on designing the logo. Throughout the sketching process, I was able to discover diffrent styles and shapes based on the ideas I've had to create the perfect logo for Doha. The fish lantern was the most suited for Doha with its lively colors and attractions.
CREATING THE LOGO
The logo consists of a fish with geometric patterns within. This concept focuses on Doha’s glass lanterns, they’re usually found in their shops. These glass lanterns are colorful and bright when they’re in use. The idea of the fish comes from the kites they fly in their city during their festivals. The kites are usually shaped as sea animals such as fish and sharks.
